At 19:00 on the evening of April 27, to improve the aesthetic education of teachers and students and to share the achievements of aesthetic education, "the Special Concert of World Classical Chamber Music Works" was held in the North Campus Concert Hall. Academician Wang Yanxin, the President of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Professor Huang Xiaomei, the Party Secretary of CUG and other leaders came to the concert. Professor Wang Kaiping, a violinist & violist player from School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and a doctor from Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory and a CUG scholar, together with Chen Guo, a professor from Music College of Hunan Normal University, a young cellist with a doctoral degree in Russian music and art, and Peng Site, an associate professor appointed by Hunan University of Science and Technology and a doctor in both piano solo and chamber music performance in Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory, presented an wonderful audio-visual feast to us.  The concert lasted for one and a half hours and was divided into two scenes: the first and the second, featuring two well-known chamber works, Rachmaninoff: Piano Trio in G Minor and Tchaikovsky: Piano Trio in A minor.

Rachmaninoff: Piano Trio in G Minor  is also known as Trio élégiaque No. 1 in g minor. In the course of the performance, three instruments - piano, violin and cello - play with each other skillfully, and the performance was long and soft with a touch of melancholy and sadness. As the piece progressed, the "élégiaque" tinge of the movement was pushed to its peak, and the audience's emotions reached a climax with the melody. The track ended with a gradual soothing rhythm, but the audience was still enthralled by this superb audio-video feast and applauded in anticipation of the next works.

Tchaikovsky: Piano Trio in A minor is the pinnacle of chamber music literature and Tchaikovsky's most famous chamber works. In the first movement, these three teachers worked in tandem, playing as if they were telling a story, ranging from deep melancholy to fondness. The second movement consisted of twelve different motifs and epilogues, and were warm and expansive, yet light and warm. Each style was full of its own characteristics and exuded a distinctive charm, thanks to the superb performance skills and powerful musical expression of these three teachers. The audience felt as if they were in the ocean of music, constantly roaming and feeling the vitality and enjoyment brought by the chamber music.
