Music Performance: Zhang Li

Zhang Li, is an associate professor and master supervisor of the Department of Music, School of Arts and Communication, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), the CPC member, the member of China Music Education Association, the member of Hubei Musicians’ Association, the director of Hubei Piano Society, the outstanding instructor of Ameri-China International Piano Music Association in New York, with bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in music education of Wuhan Conservatory of Music, and has held a solo concert. She is also an adjudicator of piano in music education in Hubei Province. She has successively won the Excellent Instructor Award for Western Music Piano Major in the National Artistic Talent Selection Competition awarded by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, the Provincial Excellent Instructor Award, the Yangtze River Piano Cup - Excellent Instructor Award, and the Outstanding Teacher Award of China University of Geosciences. She has been invited to visit conservatories all over China as well as the United States, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and other countries for cultural exchange and professional piano performance practice activities. The courses offered by her include piano, piano performance, art instruction, digital piano, music psychology, etc.

Individual awards and achievements:

Second place in Piano Self-playing and Singing and the third prize in the Pentathlon at the National Basic Skills Competition for College Students Majoring in Music Education jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture;

“Excellent Advisor” award for piano in Western Music Class of National Art Talent Selection Competition jointly sponsored by State Education Commission of the PRC and the Ministry of Culture;

First prize for “Excellent Thesis” awarded by China Educationist Association;

 “Excellent advisor award of undergraduate group” in “Yiyuan Cup” Basic Skill Competition for College Students in Music Education of Colleges and Universities in Hubei Province awarded by Hubei Provincial Department of Education;

Second prize of the teachers group for art education papers at the “Fourth Art Festival for College Students” awarded by Hubei Provincial Department of Education;

“Excellent Advisor” of China University of Geosciences for many years;
