Huang Aiwu, Associate Professor, master supervisor, PhD, has been mainly engaged in the science and culture communication and popular science creation and research in recent years, and has presided over many popular science projects of China Association for Science and Technology and projects at provincial and ministerial level.

Provincial and municipal project: “Wuhan coordinates - urban oriented outdoor sports popular science film” in 2017

Provincial and municipal project: “Popular science video for understanding earthquake causes and realizing earthquake prediction” in 2017

Provincial and municipal project: “Popular science video of Wuhan Military Games Cup City Orienteering Challenge” in 2018

University-level project: “The influence of Internet communication on the environmental literacy of college students and its construction” in 2019

Teaching and research projects presided over and participated in in the past five years:

In 2019, she guided the students to be awarded the “National Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project”

In 2018, she participated in the application of the first batch of undergraduate teaching projects at the university level: Research on the cultivation of popular science creative talents under the background of “three integration”;

 

Main awards:

The science education film “Making Earthquake Forecasting Possible” won the second prize of the 5th China Science Education Film and Television “Ke Lei Award”.

The popular science film “Turning Sand into Gold” won the “First Prize of Science and Technology Innovative Program” awarded by Hubei Radio and Television Association.

The science propaganda film “Watermark Thousand Peaks, River and Lake Wuhan - 4400 Years of Geological Evolution and Urban Changes in Wuhan City” won the second prize of excellent popular science works for China’s Science and Technology Communication.

The popular science book “The Silent Fossils” won the Outstanding Popular Science Work Award of the Department of Science and Technology of Hubei Province.

The “Construction and practice of the talent training system with the characteristics of popular science communication” won the first prize of university-level excellent teaching achievements.

She has guided dozens of works for college students to win national and provincial awards, including the first prize of video works in the National Art Festival for College Students, the second prize of the National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students, the excellent advisor of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, the second prize of China University Film and TV Works, and Outstanding Graduation Thesis Supervisor Award of Hubei Province.

In addition to scientific research and creation, she is also very enthusiastic about the cause of popular science among the public, and has successively served as:

Deputy Secretary-General of the Special Committee for Popular Science and Culture Industry of the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Journalism;

Deputy Secretary-General of China Popular Science Research & Learning Alliance;

National expert in science communication of geomorphology and Quaternary geology;

The first batch of national experts in popular science and research guidance;

Member of the Special Committee for Popular Science Education of China Science Writers Association.
