Gong Bin, associate professor, has been teaching environmental design at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Currently, he is the Deputy Secretary-General and member of the Expert Committee of the Green Mine Promotion Association, Deputy Secretary-General and member of the Expert Committee of the China Land Spatial Resources Protection and Utilization Innovation Platform, member of the expert pool for geoparks and mine parks evaluation of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and head of the Ecological Restoration and Landscape Design Research Center of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).
He has been concerned with the protection of industrial relics in the outer space of the large-scale ecological environment, focusing on the ecological restoration and landscape environment reconstruction design of the mine, and associated industrial transformation planning and later special architectural, interior and landscape design. He advocates the design aesthetics of industrial heritage and environmental micro design innovation, reconsider the ecological restoration and industrial transformation ideas of mines from the perspective of art and aesthetics, and use design innovations to propose more professional and comprehensive solutions to the ecological restoration and industrial upgrading of mines, so as to truly achieve the harmony of mines and land and sustainable ecological and industrial development. He has presided over or participated in more than 60 projects entrusted by the state and various enterprises and institutions.
