Music Performance Yu Min

Yu Min, female, Han nationality, Party member, master of arts, associate professor and master supervisor of the School of Arts and Communication, China University of Geosciences, is now serving as the deputy director of the Department of Music Performance of the School of Arts and Communication, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), member of Hubei Musicians Association, member of the Professional Committee of Vocal Opera of Hubei Musicians Association, examiner of the National Music Grading Committee of Art Development Center of Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and director of the Children's Music Committee of Hubei Musicians Association. She has been invited to visit the United States, Cambodia, Myanmar and other countries for academic and cultural exchanges and performance activities. In 2016, she was approved to be a domestic visiting scholar of young backbone teachers of colleges and universities of the Ministry of Education. She visited the Central Conservatory of Music and studied under the guidance of Guo Shuzhen, a famous soprano singer, educator and Professor of the Department of Vocal Music and Opera of Central Conservatory of Music

Scientific and teaching research projects:

In 2012, she presided over the outstanding youth fund program supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities: “On the singing art of female characters in National Opera”

In 2013, she presided over the general program sponsored by enterprises and institutions: “Research on the role of music art in the cultural construction of CHOU TAI SENG;

In 2013, she presided over the humanities and social sciences research program of Hubei Provincial Department of Education: “The inspiration and reference of the creation of the artistic image of the classic national opera to the vocal music teaching in Colleges and Universities”;

In 2014, she presided over the teaching program of the university: “Research on the stage performance ability training in Vocal Music teaching”;

In 2016, she presided over the program supported by the Social Science Foundation of Hubei Province: “On the inheritance of Hubei folk song ‘Wedding Gongs and Drums’”.

Honors and awards of students:

In July 2011, Liu Zhengrong, a student of Grade 2009, won the Excellence award in Performance Category (ethnic group) of the Fourth Hubei Golden Chime-bells Award;

In July 2013, Liu Zhengrong, a student of Grade 2009, won the silver award in Performance Category (ethnic group) of the Fifth Hubei Golden Chime-bells Award;

In July 2013, Tang Xiaoling, an undergraduate of Grade 2011, won the Excellence award in Performance Category (ethnic group) of the Fifth Hubei Golden Chime-bells Award;

In March 2013, students Wu Yongfang, Tian Meng, Huang Jiajia, Tang Xiaoling and Lai Zhizi participated in the Finals of the 15th National Young Singers Competition in Hubei Division and won the third prize of ethnic group (group);

In November 2011, the performance of "I miss her a lot" won the first prize of the professional group in the Fourth "College Students' Art Festival" of Hubei Province, and she won the Excellent Advisor Award;

In December 2014, the opera and song performance "Fragrance of Huangmei" arranged and directed by her attended the excellent art programs show in the Fifth College Students' Art Festival of Hubei Province, and won the first prize of group B (professional group);

On November 14, 2017, the Huangmei Opera "Tianxianpei · Xiannv Si Zan" was performed in 2017 Excellent Dramas Show of Colleges and Universities of Hubei University in Zhongnan University of Economics and Law and won the "Excellent Drama Award";

In December 2017, the original song performance "Climbers" participated in the performance evaluation of the Sixth College Students' Art Festival of Hubei Province, and won the first prize of group B (professional group). She also won the title of "Excellent advisor"

In November 2011, the song performance "I miss her a lot" won the golden award in vocal music category of Wuhan College Students’ Art Festival;

In November 2011, the song performance "My home is on the bank of Honghu Lake" won the golden award in vocal music category of Wuhan College Students’ Art Festival;

In November 2013, the song performance "Living by the Yangtze River" by girls won the golden award in vocal music category of Wuhan College Students’ Art Festival;

In November 2013, the song performance "Peach blossom song" by girls won the silver award in vocal music category of Wuhan College Students’ Art Festival; our college was granted the excellent organization award by Wuhan Municipal Government and Hongshan Culture Bureau of Wuhan City. 


Personal awards and performance:

On October 5, 2017, she participated in the recording of the special Mid Autumn Festival Program of CCTV-3 "Resonant Songs", and sang the song "Wang Yue";

In September 2003, she won the first prize in Southeast Hubei Division of "Tsingtao Beer Cup" National Young Sings Competition;

In December 2005, she won the excellent sing award in the finals in Hubei Division of the Twelfth “Longrich” Cup National Young Sings Competition;

In November, 2007, the song cycle “I miss her a lot was invited to attend the Eighth China Arts Festival, and she was the leading singer of the song Lover of Yangloudong;

In September 2009, she went to Lanzhou on behalf of Hubei Province to participate in the First National Vocal Music TV Competition hosted by China Musicians Association, and won the excellent singer award in the national finals;

In December 2009, she won the third prize in Hubei Division of the 14th National Young Singers Competition;

In January 2010, she was invited to attend the "2010 Hubei Spring Festival Variety Show - Chutian Spring" hosted by Hubei Media Group and undertaken by Hubei TV;

In February 2010, she was invited to attend the "2010 Tea party for academicians and experts in Hubei Province" sponsored by the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and Hubei Provincial People's Government;

In September 2012, she won the third prize in the performing arts category of the National College Clean Government Cultural Works Competition jointly sponsored by the Ideological and Political Work Department of the Ministry of Education and the Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Supervision in the Ministry of Education;

On August 17, 2017, she was invited to attend the performance of the 16th Luyu Square Culture Month and Awards Show of "Welcoming the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China" in Tianmen City;

On June 25, 2017, a solo concert of "Living by the Yangtze River" was held in the concert hall of the Central Conservatory of music;

On June 22, 2018, Yu Min Chinese and foreign classic works solo concert was held in the north music hall of China University of Geosciences;

On December 29, 2016, she attended the 2017 New Year Chuju Opera Concert of Hubei Universities, and sang the selections of The Tea Road  My father takes tea road as the home for decades;

On October 19, 2017, her song performance venue "So Young" participated in the variety show for celebrating the 19th National Congress of CPC hosted by the Publicity Department of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee, Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Culture and CPC Wuchang District Committee;

In November 2017, she served as the chief director of the special variety show for the 13th China International Geo-Electromagnetic Workshop and gave a solo Wang Yue”;

In December 2012, she won the excellence award in the 7th Young Teachers Teaching Competition of the University;

In November 2014, she won the second prize of the seventh university-level lecture competition.
