Journalism and Communication Liu Yikun

Liu Yikun, associate professor and master supervisor of School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), doctor of journalism of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her main research interests include new media, news production, news commentary, etc

He has published more than 20 papers in Xinhua Digest, Modern Communication, Nanjing Journal of Social Sciences and other academic journals. The paper “News production in new media era: concept change, product innovation and process reengineering” was reprinted and recommended by Xinhua Digest on the cover. His paper has been selected in China Journalism Yearbook (2014) and won the third national outstanding academic achievement award of young journalism scholars (2016). He has published the book Data News Design (2015) both in Chinese and English.

He used to be a reporter of Chutian Metropolis Daily, published nearly 3000 news comment works in major newspapers, and was a researcher of the News Commentary Research Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

He offers the course of introduction to journalism, news commentary and network communication, and has been awarded the title of excellent head teacher and excellent Party member for many times.
