Faculty Party Branches of the School of Arts and Communication Carry Out Party’s Day Activities in March

On March 28, the five faculty Party branches of the School of Arts and Communication carried out Party’s day activities with the theme of “Learning from the spirit of the National People’s Congress and the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, forging ahead with a great sense of responsibility”. According to the requirements of the “Notice on Carrying out the Branch Party’s Day Activities in March 2024”, each faculty branch, in combination with its actual situation, carried out centralized studying through PPT live lead study, watching videos, free speech discussion, political birthday and other ways.

All party members carefully studied the spirit of the 2024 NPC & CPPCC National Committee Annual Sessions and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during the Two Sessions, and studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the Symposium on Promoting the Rise of Central China in the New Era and other documents. Comrades present at the meeting freely discussed their learning experiences, expressed the need to seriously study and implement the spirit of the series of important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and said that we should make efforts in deep study and research and should study with mind and heart. We should combine the study and implementation of the spirit of the Two Sessions and the current key work, focus on the spirit of the 13th Party Congress of the University and the 14th Five-Year Plan of the School, continuously shape new driving forces and advantages, and help solve the development difficulties of the School. We must adhere to the principles of educating virtues and morality, enhance the awareness and ability of ideological and political education in the curriculum, fulfill the responsibility and mission of teaching and educating people, and guide students to become the pillars of the national rejuvenation.

Then the Party branches also organized Party members to study some chapters of the Regulations on the Study and Education of Party History, the Regulations of the CPC on Disciplinary Punishment, the Regulations of the CPC on Inspection, the Regulations on Disciplinary Actions for Staff in Government-sponsored Institutions, the Implementation Plan for Teaching Review and Evaluation of Undergraduate Education in Regular Institutions of Higher Education (2021-2025) and the Plan on Deepening the Reform of Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions in the New Era. The party branches said that they will fully leverage the role of the party branch as a fighting fortress and the exemplary role of party members, incorporate the three Regulations into the annual study plan, continuously enhance the awareness of party members in abiding by laws and regulations, strengthen education, guidance and supervision, and conduct in-depth conversations, reminders and criticism education, and adhere to the to the theme of improving quality and effectiveness with practical actions, so as to make due contributions to the implementation of the school Party committee’s inspection and rectification, and the undergraduate education and teaching review and evaluation of the school.

At the end of the activity, all Party comrades paid their Party membership dues on time.
