At 14:30 p.m. on March 27, 2023, the School of Arts and Communication held the Employment Promotion Seminar in March 2023 in Room 1209 of the building of this school. The leadership team of the school, teachers in charge of employment work in different departments, and full-time and part-time counselors attended this meeting, which was presided over by Shan Tianyi, a counselor of the school.

The first item on the agenda of the meeting was to introduce the employment work of the school by Shan Tianyi. The discussion focused on four aspects: employment knowledge, employment data, employment issues and difficulties, and employment initiatives and plans. She stated that we need to deepen the implementation of “one hunting and two promotions”, improve employment service through three “accurate”, take multiple measures such as “visiting enterprises to promote employment” and auxiliary platform guidance to provide better employment services, further build a linkage system for the employment of the School of Arts and Communication, and form a work pattern of all teachers focusing on employment and promoting employment.

The second item on the agenda of the meeting was to discuss and exchange views on promoting employment. The participating teachers actively spoke and put forward relevant suggestions from the training program and curriculum, and expressed that they would continue to promote the education and teaching reform of each major, to effectively enhance students’ practical ability and comprehensive quality, and improve their vocational skills and employability.

The third item on the agenda of the meeting was the concluding speeches by Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, and He Qingjun, dean of the School. Secretary Jin Xi emphasized that the current employment situation is severe and complex, so we should do a good job in internship and practical training, guide students to establish correct employment and career views, and make good career development plans. We should also strengthen cooperation and linkage, and build employment information platforms through multiple channels. Dean He Qingjun stated that all departments need to fully implement the employment policies, actively carry out related work such as “visiting enterprises to promote employment”, and make every effort to provide strong guarantees for high-quality and full employment of students.

Promote communication and gather strength for development. The School of Arts and Communication will further strengthen the employment guidance and support for the graduates in 2024 to realize high-quality and full employment of the graduates on the premise of full employment and oriented to the needs of the society.
