Theme-Focused Study of the “Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Inspections” by the Theoretical Study Central Group of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication

On January 10, the massed learning meeting of the theoretical study central group of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication was held in the Conference Room 1209 to study newly revised “Regulations of the Communist Party of China on Inspections” (hereinafter referred to as “the Regulations”). Members of the leadership team and party committee members of the School attended the meeting, while members of the discipline inspection committee attended as observers. Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, presided over the meeting.

Jin Xi and the attending comrades focused on learning the relevant contents of Chapter V of the Regulations: “Rectification of Inspections and Application of Results”. He pointed out that the Regulations are guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, deeply implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thoughts on the Party’s self-revolution, take the Party Constitution as the fundamental basis, systematically summarize the achievements of inspections in theoretical, practical and institutional innovations in the new era, fully demonstrate the Party’s Marxist theoretical character that keeps pace with the times, and clearly put forward the idea of resolutely doing the “two upholds” as the fundamental task of inspections to further improve the institutional mechanism and responsibility system, and clarify the responsibilities and tasks of the disciplinary committee, organizations, inspection agencies, inspected party organizations and other responsible subjects, which provides normative guidance and systematic safeguards for the development of inspections.

The comrades present unanimously believe that the newly revised “Regulations” clearly stipulate the conduct of grass-roots inspections, which is a major initiative to promote the extension of Party’s strict governance to the grass-roots level, and has created a new pattern of coordinated supervision and inspection. A separate chapter on inspection rectification and application of results proposes clear requirements, providing institutional support for promoting the second half of the article on inspection rectification.

Jin Xi emphasized that this year is a reform year for the School of Arts and Communication to implement the first round of routine inspection and rectification tasks assigned by the party committee of the university. All members of the leadership team should deeply study and understand the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on inspections, further enhance the initiative and self-consciousness of learning, accurately grasp the spiritual essence, main points and practical requirements of the “Regulations”, adhere to the combination of problem-oriented and goal-oriented, and strictly follow the inspection feedback to study the rectification measures, solidify the responsibility for rectification, and make precise and continuous efforts in implementing rectification and deepening the application of achievements, so as to effectively promote the high-quality development of the School through high-quality rectification.
