On March 23, in order to actively adapt to the requirements of alumni work construction in the new period, to achieve a alumni development community, and to further enhance the social service capacity, the university organized and held the Fifth Summit Forum on Geological Resources and Environment and the Twelfth Joint Meeting of Presidents and Secretaries-General of Global Alumni Associations of China University of Geosciences in Longyan City, Fujian Province. Yuan Yue, deputy dean of the School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Zeng Gehui, counselor of the Student Affairs Leading Group, and undergraduates majoring in music, including Zhang Axue, Zhong Aiyuan, Han Hongmin, and Ji Yuchen participated in the meeting together, which was hosted by China University of Geosciences and organized by Fujian Alumni Association.
On the morning of the 23rd, at the Fifth Summit Forum on Geological Resources and Environment with the theme of “Focusing on Mineral Exploration Breakthroughs and Seeking Integration between Industry and Education”, experts and scholars from the geological profession and industry exchanged and shared on topics such as mineral exploration practice, geothermal energy, and carbon neutrality technology.

On the afternoon of 23rd, at the 12th Joint Meeting of Presidents and Secretaries-General of Global Alumni Associations of China University of Geosciences, the main leaders of alumni associations from all over the country made the exchange report on the alumni work, and the leaders of the university presented awards to the excellent alumni workers and alumni work activists. The meeting came to a successful end with the chorus of “Song of Exploration Crew”.

During the dinner, teachers and students sang passionately and brought the atmosphere to a climax with the infectious power of art. Fu Anzhou, Vice President of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Alumni Association, and Yuan Yue, deputy dean of the School of Arts and Communication, jointly performed the song “The Wave of Gulangyu Islet”, while Yuan Yue improvised the song “My Heart Will Go On” inspired by the enthusiasm of the whole audience. Our students, Zhang Axue, Zhong Aiyuan, Han Hongmin and Ji Yuchen, performed the dance “Big Fish” and the flute and erhu repertoire “Blue and White Porcelain” on the stage respectively. The graceful singing, graceful dance movements, and beautiful folk music performances of the teachers and students received bursts of applause from the audience present, presenting a wonderful audio-visual feast for the alumni.
