At 14:00, Dec. 11, 2023, 10th Open Day of School of Arts and Communication was successfully held in No. 1209 Meeting Room, Building of Arts and Communication. Jin Xi, Party Secretary of this School, Dean He Qingjun, Deputy Dean Zhang Meizhen, Yuanyue and Peng Jing, Bian Jianhua, Deputy Party Secretary, Li Weina, the Director of General Office of this School, Di Cheng, the Director of Department of Visual and Media Design, Ning Wei, the Director of Department of Journalism and Communication, Shan Tianyi, the League Secretary, Chen Xiliang, the Director of Party Committee's Office, Zhu Huan, the undergraduate teaching secretary, Zeng Gehui, the counsellor of student affairs office and the representatives of the students in each grade attended the meeting. The meeting was held by Zhou Yi, a member of presidium of postgraduates' union of this School.
Firstly, Yu Jifei, the Chairman of Student Union of this School, introduced the preparations for the open day. 13 proposals were carefully chosen on this open day, then Young Volunteers Association contacted each class and determined the list of the representatives of the students attending the meeting.
Next, the representatives offered the proposals in turn, which concerned apartment, infrastructure and learning environment, education and cultivation, for example, as to the proposal that "the slow decoration progress affects the teaching environment", teachers said that they would contact the related departments of CUG as soon as possible to accelerate the decoration progress. Meanwhile, as to the improvement of the infrastructure and learning environment, discipline split-flow, career planning and joining the Party and so on, they replied these questions in details and offered specific solutions.
After the students asked the questions, Jin Xi, the Party Secretary of this School made a summary speech on the open day and he pointed out that the questions asked by the students essentially reflected their care for the development of this School and this School would actively perfect and meet the demands of the students as much as possible. At the same time, he stressed that this School would adhere to the idea of "people foremost", actively coordinate the related development and fulfill the idea of "students foremost" so as to grow up with students and realize the "two-way rush". As to some suspending problems, this School would make every effort to accelerate the subsequent work.
