On November 25, 2023, the Hunan Alumni Symposium of the School of Arts and Communication was successfully held at Hunan Dida Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Bian Jianhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, Ding Miaomiao, director of the Alumni Service Office of the Alumni and Cooperation Department, Yu Lei, representative of the faculty of the School, Li Weina, director of the School Office, and Shan Tianyi, secretary of the Youth League Committee, attended the symposium with some alumni in Changsha. The symposium was chaired by Bian Jianhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School.
Zhou Hongqiao, Chairman of Hunan Dida Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. and an alumnus of Grade 1997, extended a warm welcome to the school leaders and teachers in Hunan on behalf of the alumni in Hunan, and expressed sincere gratitude to CUG and the School for their care and support.
Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, briefly introduced the development of the School in recent years to the alumni. He pointed out that alumni are an important support force for promoting the high-quality development of the school, and alumni work is an important component of the overall work of the School, and he expressed gratitude to alumni in Hunan for their important contributions to the reform and development of the alma mater and the School. The School will take the establishment of “Hunan Alumni House” as an opportunity to further strengthen the liaison service with the alumni in Hunan. Under the guidance of the Alumni and Social Cooperation Department, with planning the establishment of the Hunan Alumni Branch of the School of Arts and Communication as an important goal, the School will further promote the in-depth exchanges among alumni and their units and the School in talent cultivation, internship and practice, student employment, industry-university-research collaboration, and build a high-quality development community with interconnectivity, frequent communication, mutual assistance, and win-win cooperation, so as to achieve mutual development.

Ding Miaomiao put forward opinions and suggestions on the construction of alumni associations of the School. The attending alumni introduced their current work situation, reviewed their academic experiences during their school years, and expressed their gratitude to the university and the School for their cultivation. Everyone expressed their willingness to work hand in hand and support each other, gather more alumni in Hunan, and strive to turn the “Hunan Alumni Home” of the school into a “model project” of the alumni association of CUG.
In his concluding remarks, Bian Jianhua expressed gratitude for being together, and said that the future is promising. The establishment of the “Hunan Alumni Home” of the School of Arts and Communication will surely expand new channels, build new platforms and provide new opportunities for the alumni to get in touch with each other closely, enhance their feelings, gather their strengths and strengthen their cooperation. The arms of the alma mater and the school are always open to alumni, and we welcome you to come home often!
