Gathering the Power to Advance
In order to further consolidate the foundation of grassroots Party building, continuously expand the team of Party members, and enhance the sense of honor, sacredness, and belonging of Party membership applicants to join the Party organization, the School of Arts and Communication held a Party membership application submission ceremony for the new students of Grade 2023 in the west playground at 10 am on September 20. Bian Jianhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication, Shan Tianyi, a graduate counselor, Chen Xiliang, director of the Party Building Office, Zeng Gehui, an undergraduate counselor, and assistant Party members for new students attended the ceremony.
Following the Party
The neatly written Party membership applications show the spirit of our students to follow the Party and make contributions to the new era, and express their firm determination to approach the Party organization. Among them, Li Xinyi from Design Science, who was injured and hospitalized during the military training, completed the application in the hospital and submitted it through someone else’s transmission to approach the Party organization.
Establishing Ideals and Beliefs
Teachers of the School of Arts and Communication carefully reviewed the students’ Party membership applications, strictly examined the theoretical knowledge and the correctness of the expressions, and gave careful guidance, which enabled the students to further clarify the precautions for the writing of the Party membership application and also laid a solid foundation for students to standardize the writing of the applications.
Staying True to the Original Aspiration for Party Membership
Finally, Bian Jianhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee, particularly emphasized to the reviewers the standardization, rigor and logic of the writing of the Party membership application; the content should not only reflect the relevant guiding ideology of the Party, but also be combined with personal reality.

Forging ahead and taking responsibilities. This Party membership application submission ceremony is both an education on the basic knowledge of the Party and a training on the process of being admitted to the Party. As young people in the new era, we should be firm in our determination and confidence in following the Party, strive to improve our political and theoretical literacy, and shoulder the important task of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
