In order to implement the relevant requirements of theme-focused education implementation plan of the university, the School of Arts and Communication held the massed learning of theoretical study central group of the Party Committee in September and the theme-focused education research results exchange meeting at 8:30 on September 6, 2023 in Conference Room 1209 of the school. Tang Qin, deputy secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the University, attended the meeting; members of the leadership team and Party committee of the School attended the meeting, which was presided over by Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School.
Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, first conveyed the spirit of the exchange meeting for research results of the university leadership team and the new semester work seminar, and led the study of the spirit of the 13th Party Congress of CUG and the relevant content of the “Two Committees” work report at the 13th Party Congress of CUG. Then, the leadership team members reported the research results from the perspectives of research background, problem status and improvement measures, focusing on research topics such as “the current construction status and optimization strategies of the main institutional system of the school”, “improving the quality of student party building work”, “optimizing the discipline of journalism and communication”, and “aesthetic education campus culture construction”.
Dean He Qingjun pointed out in conclusion that this massed exchange and discussion deepened the understanding of the core principles of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, analyzed the successful experience and existing problems and shortcomings of the work, clarified the path to promote the high-quality development of the school, deepened understanding, condensed consensus, improved ideas and measures, and achieved the expected results. He emphasized that we should continue to work hard to transform and apply research results into effective policy supply, with a focus on planning reforms and working ideas, to ensure that research work has a beginning and an end, and is well done and successful.
It is reported that since the launch of theme-focused education, the school has adhered to studying for forging the soul and further proposed the targeted and effective massed learning for the theoretical study central group of the Party Committee through the innovative form of “joint learning”; it adheres to studying for wisdom and has organized discipline and program self-evaluation and scientific and technological development strategy seminars to further consolidate the ideological consensus of “strengthening characteristics and entering the mainstream”; it adheres to studying for Party conduct and has carried out centralized education and training on teacher ethics, integrity education for graduates and all student party members conference, to further promote the upward trend of teaching and learning style; it adheres to studying for work promotion and has published more than 40 reports, including “Series Reports on Growing at the School”, “Jiuli Sunlight in Xinjiang”, and Summer Internship, to promote solid results in various aspects of the school. Next, the school will adhere to the combination of learning, thinking and application, and the unity of knowledge, belief and action, conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the 13th Party Congress of CUG and relevant decisions and deployments, focus on promoting the transformation of research results, consolidate and expands the achievements of theme-focused education, so as to promote the high-quality development of the school.
