July 9 is the sixth day of the teaching assistance activity by Jiuli Sunlight Teaching Assistance Group. Along with these days of teaching, the volunteer teachers and the children grew up together, and the sparks of art blossomed splendidly among each other. The inspiration of the children has turned into wonderful masterpieces, let’s immerse ourselves in them together and appreciate those works that shine with talent!
Part 1 Music Class
Gesture dance is not only a form of performance, but also a vivid display of the children’s inner feelings. In the chorus song “Country”, the children integrated gesture dance with music, conveying their love for the motherland and expectations for a better future.
Part 2 Dance Class
The children mastered the skills and rhythm of Latin dance through constant practice. They sweated and danced their bodies in the rhythm, showing their enthusiasm and self-confidence. Each rhythmic step expressed their inner passion and deep love for dance.
Part 3 Art Class
In Art Class C, Mr. Xiaoyu explained the basic knowledge and color matching techniques to them. After class, the children unleashed their creativity and created a unique painting under the guidance of volunteer teachers: the cheese-yellow SpongeBob SquarePants surrounded with green leaves, while his big melancholic blue eyes revealed his inner emotions.
“SpongeBob, do you look unhappy?
Didn’t you catch any jellyfish today?”
In Art Class A, after learning simple brush patterns for a few days, the children began to showcase their creativity today.
“Why are you eating watermelon?”
On this hot summer day, of course, you have to enjoy the delicious watermelon!
In Art Class B, the children have unlimited creativity, and they can draw twenty different facial expressions in just a few strokes. The children’s creative talents are far beyond our imagination, and every day they come up with countless marvelous ideas, so let’s enjoy their results!
Reflections on Teaching:
Today’s lesson mainly focuses on painting. The handicraft class combines pasting and painting. It is obvious that their drawing and hands-on abilities have improved a lot. More and more children are able to complete the teacher’s teaching arrangements well, and some children are using their imagination to complete more creative works on this basis. At the end of the lesson, three children gave Xiaoliu and me envelopes that they had drawn themselves, which moved me and brought me a full sense of happiness.

Today is the 6th day of volunteer teaching, and the courses we teach have also shown initial results, which is the most rewarding thing for us. Our group teaches the children the very basics of music through music theory and piano. Positive feedback from the kids makes me feel warm and also make the day soothing and enjoyable.

By teaching children how to use ultra light clay to make sunflowers, I deeply realized the importance of stimulating creativity. As educators, we should give children enough space and freedom to utilize their creativity and imagination. Our task is to guide them to discover their uniqueness while providing the necessary guidance and support. I am inspired and fulfilled by the joy and creativity that the children show in this activity. We should firmly believe that every child has unlimited potential and creativity, and help them become true creators and explorers through guidance and support.
