In order to thoroughly implement the “Opinions on Effectively Strengthening Aesthetic Education in Higher Education Institutions in a New Era” of the Ministry of Education and the “Implementation Plan for Aesthetic Education in a New Era” of CUG, and to innovate the second classroom of aesthetic education practice, the “Declaration of the Young at the Foot of Nanwang Mountain” Graduation Music Festival was held in the playground of the west area at 7:00 pm on June 20. This festival was sponsored by the School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) to pay tribute to youth with songs of youth and send the most sincere blessings to all graduates.
Students and teachers took the stage in turn, singing the parting song of reluctance and telling the beauty of the life in CUG. Their songs, either gentle or firm or mellifluous, lingered in the playground along with the chants of the audience and lights, leaving many unforgettable memories. A song called “Flower Sea” evoked memories of the students’ youth and triggered a chorus from all; self-composed “Understanding Love” allowed students to experience the shackles of love between a father and his daughter; “Too Smart”, the seniors’ return performance, showed the nostalgia and reluctance of the graduates to CUG. The final chorus of teachers and students brought the atmosphere to the climax, showing the style of teachers and students of CUG, as well as their youthful and beautiful posture.
This graduate lawn music festival was carefully planned by the School of Arts and Communication, adopting the popular open-air performance form and attracting many teachers and students to watch. In the warm chorus of teachers and students, the festival came to an end under the star-filled inky pale sky. Graduation is not the end, and our summer never ends.
