Editor’s note: At present, all CPC members and all people from the leadership to the masses in CUG are carrying out the theme-focused education on studying and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in accordance with the requirements of the “Opinions of the CPC Central Committee on Thoroughly Implementing Theme-focused Education on Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”. The Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication conscientiously studies and implements the “Implementation Plan for Theme-focused Education on Thoroughly Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era” issued by the Party Committee of CUG; focusing on the general requirements of “learning ideology, strengthening party spirit, emphasizing practice, and making new achievements”, it combines the theme-focused education with the fundamental task of cultivating virtues and morality, combines the theme-focused education with the talent training, scientific research, discipline construction and other work of the school, integrates the requirements of theory study, investigation and research, development promotion and inspection and rectification, and strive to achieve tangible results in studying for forging the soul, studying for wisdom, studying for Party conduct, and studying for work promotion. From now on, a series of reports on this theme will be launched on the website of the School.
In order to do a good job in the education and organization relationship management of the graduate Party members in 2023, and to give the “last party class” for graduate party members before leaving school, the School of Arts and Communication held a meeting for graduate Party members in Room 1104 at 15:00p.m. on June 1, 2023. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Chen Xi Liang, director of the Party Building Office, and was held simultaneously offline and online. Jin Xi, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, attended this meeting.
“It is my will to join the Communist Party of China….” Facing the bright red party flag, under the guidance of Teacher Chen Xiliang, all party members raised their right hands and clenched their fists. The meeting opened with a solemn oath.
“Clear love is only for China”, Secretary Jin Xi gave a party lecture to graduate Party members. From patriotism to personal ideals, from work to family harmony, he instructed graduate party members to be visionary and broad-minded, to shine in their posts while also strengthening teamwork, to dedicate more and pay more, and to remember the school motto of “hardworking and plain-living, being realistic and pragmatic”. Secretary Jin Xi warned everyone to remember their original intention and not abandon moral bottom line and conscience because of their interests; warned everyone to be self-respecting, introspective, cautious, and self-disciplined by saying “When the pie falls from the sky, there is a trap on the ground”; reminded everyone to always adhere to principles, be honest in performing their duties, strengthen disciplinary awareness, and build a strong ideological defense against corruption. At the end of his speech, Secretary Jin Xi congratulated the graduates on their successful graduation and promising future with the words “A time will come to ride the wind and cleave the waves, I will set my cloud-like sail to across the sea which raves”, wining applause from the students.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Chen Xiliang carefully explained the precautions and transfer process of party membership with the document “Regulations on the Education and Management of Members of the Communist Party of China”. He reminded all graduate Party members to transfer their party organization relationship in time and not to become “pocket Party members”, and reminded graduate probationary Party members to take the initiative to apply f to their party branches to become regular before the expiration of the probationary period.
Light up the path of youth with the light of faith. The School of Arts and Communication firmly grasps the overall requirements of the theme-focused education and motivates all student Party members to firmly believe and actively participate in the hot practice of promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization.
