(Reprinted from CUG News) To continuously enhance the appeal and influence of aesthetic education, on June 8, the concert on the theme of “Chorus for Time” was held at the Music Hall in the North Area of Nanwangshan Campus. The Aesthetic Practice Center of the School of Arts and Communication, in conjunction with the Youth League Committee of CUG and other units, organized a gathering of 115 students from non-music majors of the university to express their emotions through sound. Wang Fu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of CUG, relevant functional departments and some teachers and students listened to the concert.
The students sang 12 songs of different styles with passion, expressing their love and pursuit of art and showing the youthful style of our students. A melodious, lively and lovely female chorus “Don’t talk at the concert” opened the “time”. This “time” has gone through the “Dandelion” in early spring, the “Farewell - South of the City” in golden autumn and the “Joy of Snowflakes” in late winter, and will finally say goodbye in midsummer.
“Sing shoulder to shoulder with you for another year”, the concert came to an end in the chorus “I joined a choir on a whim”. Everyone expressed that we should maintain our love for music and life on the road to pursuing dreams, with wind on the way back.
