On the afternoon of May 20, the School of Arts and Communication held an online sub-forum event of the 9th CUG Forum for International Young Scholars. Jin Xi, secretary of the Party committee of the school, heads of departments and five outstanding international young scholars attended the event. Jin Xi presided over the forum and expressed a warm welcome to the five young scholars on behalf of the School. He briefly reviewed the activities the main forum that morning and introduced the basic information of the School.
Five young scholars, including Li Jie from Alto University in Finland, Li Xinzhu from National Taipei University of Technology, Wang Longyi from Tsinghua University, Wu Anyang from Communication University of China, and Liu Siyu from Huazhong Agricultural University, introduced to their current studies, research, work, and academic achievements in turn.
Di Cheng, head of the Department of Visual and Media Design, Cheng Chi, deputy head of the Department of Landscape Science, and Ning Wei, head of the Department of Journalism, had full exchanges with attending scholars on teaching, scientific research and other business work in their respective fields.
Jin Xi made a concluding speech. He affirmed the teaching sentiments and professional abilities expressed by young scholars in the forum, and hoped that the heads of the departments could maintain communication with outstanding young scholars, and collaborate on the introduction of high-level talents to really help them realize their life choices of “settling down in Wuhan, creating their careers in CUG, and dedicating their talents to education”.
