An Inaugural Meeting Successfully Held in School of Arts and Communication

   On May 11, 2023, an inaugural meeting was successfully held in No. 1209 Meeting Room, Art and Communication Building, School of Arts and Communication. Wang Fu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CUG, He Jianxin, Deputy Director of Organization Department of the Party Committee, members of the leading team of this School, heads of all level-three units and the representatives of the faculty attended the meeting. He Jianxin, Deputy Director of Organization Department of the Party Committee, presided over the meeting.

Wang Fu read out the letter of appointment of the Party committee of CUG, announced that Comrade Jin Xi was appointed as the secretary of the Party committee of this School, and briefly introduced his basic personal profile and learning and work experience; on behalf of the Party committee of CUG, he fully affirmed the contribution made by Comrade Guo Xiurong to the construction and development of this School during her tenure as the secretary of the Party committee of this School.

Comrade Guo Xiurong made a speech. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the members of the leading team of this School and all the teachers and students for their support and selfless assistance over the past five years, and said that she would continue to care for and support the development of this School in her new position.

Comrade Jin Xi made a speech. He expressed his gratitude for the trust of the Party Committee of CUG and for the good working foundation laid by Comrade Guo Xiurong and the previous teams of this School, and said that he would be aware of changes, change with changes as soon as possible, and would work together with the members of the leading team and all teachers and students in this School to plan, work and achieve things with one heart, to make the due contribution of this School to the construction of an internationally renowned research university in the field of earth sciences and the early realization of the "CUG's Dream".

Dean He Qingjun made a speech on behalf of the leading team. He expressed his gratitude to Comrade Guo Xiurong for her hard work and dedication to the construction and development of this School over the past five years, and thanked the Party Committee of CUG for its strong support to the development of this School, and firmly supported the decision of the Party Committee of CUG.

        Wang Fu concluded his speech. He fully affirmed the achievements of Comrade Guo Xiurong and Jin Xi on their respective duties, and also put forward his three hopes, first, to pay close attention to the theme education and investigation and research, and effectively enhance the endogenous motivation of the leading team and faculty members to make progress; second, to firmly establish a sense of rules and procedures, adhere to the democratic centralism, create and spread positive energy, unite to look forward; third, to make efforts to accelerate development, to improve the core competitiveness of this School and strive to make this School wholly present a good situation of striving, flourishing and thriving.
