A Delegation from China Institute of Arts Science & Technology Visited This School for Investigation and Exchange

(Student reporter: Wei Jing) On May 6, 2023, Tuo Zuhai, Vice President of China Institute of Arts Science and Technology under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism & Director of Key Lab for Performance Equipment System and Technology under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism led a delegation and visited this School to investigate and research Haibaihe Music Robot independently researched and developed by the music science and technology team.  

Accompanied by Huang Xiaomei, the Secretary of the Party Committee of CUG, Director Tuo Zuhai and his delegation listened to the introduction of Dean He Qingjun on the construction of art and design disciplines and the research progress of arts science and technology in this School. 

Then Director Tuo Zuhai and his delegation visited Haibaihe Music Robot independently developed by our music science and technology team, and Haibaihe and the students in music department played "Jasmine Flower" interactively to extend welcome. Associate Professor Zhou Li, the head of the music science and technology team, introduced Haibaili's functions, such as intellitently knowing the music score and  intelligent composition and other functions. Tuo Zuhai expressed his recognition of the results achieved by the interdisciplinary of art and science and technology in this School, and looked forward to further deepening cooperation between China Institute of Arts Science & Technology and CUG, hoped that the relevant scientific research results could provide support for the transformation and upgrading of the performance industry, and promote the transformation and promotion and application of the relevant results.
