CUG News (Reported by Shan Tianyi, Photo by Liang Ruihua) From April 1 to April 2, our students and teachers were invited to participate in the recording of the program “Chorus Pioneers” of CCTV, which was the fifth time that CUG was invited to this program. 26 students from the Star Choir of the School of Arts and Communication, 20 teachers from the “Golden Spike” Faculty Choir participated in the program recording. The program will be broadcasted in the near future.
“Chorus Pioneer” is a singing program created by CCTV Music Channel for the public. The program highlights the concept of “Pioneer”, searches for pioneer choirs, creates pioneer chorus works and promotes the pioneer chorus performance forms. CUG performed in four songs, including “Farewell”, “Farewell to Youth”, “Velvet Flower” and “Sea of Stars”, singing with true emotions to praise the great era.
Wang Xiaoming, chief director of the program, expressed appreciation for the serious performance of the teachers and students. This performance was the fifth time that CUG was invited to participate in the program recording, which showed high affirmation of China Media Group (CMG) for the aesthetic education work of CUG. Under the leadership of Guo Xiurong, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication, and under the guidance of Yuan Yue, Zhang Li, Yu Min, Yu Lei, Zeng Zhen, and Chen Liujiao, they jointly presented a music feast to the nationwide audience.
Zhang Hui, head of the “Golden Spike” Faculty Choir, has participated in the program recording for three times. She said that each performance was a new challenge, and this time the “Golden Spike” Choir had a serious rehearsal for two months, presenting the spirit of CUG. Chen Wenwu, a member of the “Golden Spike” Faculty Choir, participated in the program recording for the first time. She expressed that she had experienced the charm of choir, the soul was purified on the state and music connected each other’s hearts together.
Jiang Ziyi, a freshman of the School of Arts and Communication who participated in the program recording for the first time, said, “Through this activity, she really felt the power of the collective.
