(Reported by He Yunzi, Zeng Gehui) In order to implement the work priorities of the Department of Moral Education of the Ministry of Education on “carefully organizing a series of educational guidance activities for the new semester” and the requirements of the University’s “Notice on the Organization of an Investigation on Students’ Ideological Trends in the Spring Semester of 2023 and “First Class of the New Semester” Educational Guidance Activities”, as well as to provide a good “First Class of the New Semester” and enrich the practical education links, at 6:30 p.m. on March 16, 2023, the Graduate Union and Student Union of the School of Arts and Communication jointly held the first game of the “Yimei Cup” Student-Faculty Basketball Match at the Basketball Hall in the North Quarter.
In order to further implement the University’s work requirements for Party members and cadres to “go to the grassroots, check the conditions of the people, solve their problems and warm their hearts”, all members of the leadership team of the School of Arts and Communication, in accordance with the work requirements of the University for the “First Class of the New Semester”, went deep into the student community and participated in this “Hot Basketball Game” together with the students. While watching the game and cheering for the students, they thought about their thoughts, and felt the blood and rhythm of youth.
The game was played between the graduate team and the undergraduate team. The game officially started in the loud and clear whistle, and the players from both sides were actively involved and gave their best. After a fierce competition, the graduate team finally won the first game with the score of 48:54. As one of the “First Class of the New Semester” educational guidance activities, this basketball match is an important link in promoting the construction of campus culture in the process of practical education. After careful planning and preparation in the early stage, the activity not only enriched the campus life of students, but also enhanced communication and emotions between teachers and students, and embodied the energetic spirit and positive competitive spirit of our students.
In the future, the school will carry out the “Yimei Cup” student-faculty matches, such as badminton match and rope skipping games, to create a youthful and vibrant campus cultural atmosphere. We are looking forward to the wonderful performance of the students.
