(Reported by Yang Ying) At 10:00 a.m. on March 8, 2023, a party from the Art Education Committee of the Department of Education of Hubei Province visited this school for investigation and communication. Leaders of the Department of Education of Hubei Province, members of the leadership team of the School of Arts and Communication, and members of the leadership team of each department attended the exchange meeting, which was hosted by Yuan Yue, deputy dean of the school.
The first item on the meeting agenda was the introduction by deputy dean Yuan Yue to the leaders of the Department of Education of Hubei Province who came to the school for exchange and guide. Lv Fan, Director of the Art Education Committee of the Department of Education of Hubei Province, Executive Vice Chairman of Hubei University Drama Organization Union, Deputy Director of Hubei College Music Teaching Steering Committee, former General Director of Wuhan University Film Festival, and a member of the directing team of the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the 7th CISM Military World Games. Han Wei, Deputy Secretary General of the Art Education Committee of the Department of Education of Hubei Province, former Director of the Art Education Center of Huazhong University of Science and Technology and former head of the student art troupe.
In the second item of the agenda, Lv Fan, director of the Art Education Committee of the Department of Education of Hubei Province, conveyed the regulations of the College Student Art Festival, and arranged the work around the theme of the activity, the collection category, the work requirements, and the aesthetic education innovation. He stressed that the relevant departments should attach great importance to and strengthen the organization and coordination, clarify the division of labor and specify and follow up the implementation, and form a series of brand projects with Jingchu culture and the characteristics of CUG by taking the College Student Art Festival as the starting point.
In the third item of the meeting, the participants exchanged ideas about the college student art festival. The participating teachers made active speeches to make the College Student Art Festival an important starting point for promoting aesthetic education, so as to further improve the talent selection, overall planning and coordination, fund guarantee, and organizational structure and other working mechanisms. They would also make every effort to do all preparatory work, keep our country in mind, tell the story of CUG and build a stage for exchanging ideas, displaying achievements and stimulating enthusiasm.
The fourth item of the meeting was a conclusion to the meeting by He Qingjun, dean of the School of Arts and Communication. He pointed out that the visit of the Department of Education of Hubei Province played a dual role of ideological leadership and practical guidance for the further development of the relevant work of the school. The School of Arts and Communication will attach great importance to the College Student Art Festival, will make full use of the platform to promote the integration and development of disciplines, professional construction and talent training by integrating quality resources inside and outside the University, and will also present high-level art works with the characteristics of CUG.
