Study, Publicize and Implement the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress - Massed Learning of Theoretical Study Central Group of the Party Committee of This School in November

At 2:00pm on November 28, the Theoretical Learning Central Group of the Party Committee of this School carried out massed learning in Conference Room 1209 of the School. All members of the leadership team of the School, members of the Party Committee, all staff party branch secretaries and counselors attended the study online or offline, which was hosted by Guo Xiurong, Secretary of the Party Committee.

In this massed learning, Bian Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, led everyone to watch the report “The comprehensive advancement of law-based governance, and the construction of law-based China” delivered by Comrade Chen Yixin, Member and Secretary General of the Committee of Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee. The report pointed out that the Party members should fully study the spirit of the central working conference on comprehensive advancement of law-based governance, earnestly study the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, the Civil Code and other laws, and the Outline for Learning Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law. Secretary Bian stressed the need to further improve the rule of law literacy of cadres, teachers and students, and to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests. Then Guo Xiurong, secretary of the Party Committee, led the study of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and made a report on “Adhere to the original intention of education and contribute to building a powerful country in education”. The report introduced the general situation of the 20th CPC National Congress, the key contents of the report made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the opening session, the important discussions on education, science and technology and talents at the 20th CPC National Congress, and the contents of sticking to the original intention of education and devoting ourselves to moral cultivation. She focused on the contents of the third part, and emphasized that college educators should adhere to the basic strategies of rejuvenating China through science and education, reinvigorating China through human resource development and innovation-driven, so as to realize the fundamental purpose of sticking to the original intention of education and striving to cultivate people through moral education.

The comrades present made speeches one after another, and they all agreed that under the leadership of the Party, we should strengthen our thinking and position, take the road of rule of law, and take the construction of rule of law as the basic adherence and bottom line in the follow-up development process. All comrades have emphasized that we should be the confidant and guide of young college students in combination with our own work, and we should implement the study of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress into education and create more excellent literary and artistic works.

Finally, Secretary Guo concluded that General Secretary Xi emphasized the important status of education and science and technology talents in the report of the 20th CPC National Congress, and hoped that all party members would raise awareness, do their jobs well, respond positively to the spirit of General Secretary Xi’s report, and contribute to the talent training for the country with practical actions.
