Fighting against the Epidemic Together – School of Arts and Communication Cares for Students with Fever

January 4, 2023

As the countdown to the 2023 postgraduate entrance examination began, the infection of COVID-19 was getting worse on campus, and many students staying on campus showed fever symptoms. The Party Committee of the School attached great importance to the fact. In order to deeply grasp the students' ideological trends and understand the difficulties in their study and life, the Party Committee of the School, in accordance with the work requirements of party members and cadres to “go to the grassroots, observe the people's situation and solve their problems”, Bian Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and all full-time and part-time counselors of the Student Affairs Leading Group quickly checked and counted the number and status of students at school, and established a special contact group for positive students to find out their needs and solve their difficulties in a timely manner.

After learning that there were 36 undergraduates and 25 postgraduates with related symptoms, Secretary Bian immediately cared about the students’ eating, medication and safety during high fever. Later, some students needed medicine for a sudden high fever. The contact group quickly played a role. The antipyretic medicine and alcohol sticker were delivered to the students in time. At the same time, more students released good news about their recovery in the group, provided redundant drugs, updated pharmacy information, introduced fever experience, and calmed the restlessness.

After learning that most of the students stayed in the school for the postgraduate entrance examination, on December 17, the Student Affairs Leading Group prepared 6 oranges for each student with fever in the name of the Party Committee of the School to supplement vitamin C for everyone, and also wished them good luck in the coming postgraduate entrance examination. On the afternoon of that day, oranges were packed in bags and sent to the shelves at the entrance of each building. The dormitory number was written on each bag. At dinner time, after receiving the fruits in surprise, the students expressed their thanks and gave thumbs up to the School for its warm-hearted action.

The oranges bring warm in the cold winter, and the cares of the School warm the hearts of students with fever. In the cold winter wind, the School sends warmth and care to the students preparing for the examination at school, fighting against the positive and the postgraduate entrance examination!
