On the morning of October 16, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China opened in Beijing, and General Secretary Xi Jinping made a report to the Congress on behalf of the 19th Central Committee. All teachers and students of the School of Arts and Communication watched the grand opening ceremony, listened to and studied the report of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

Before watching the live broadcast, all student and faculty Party members recited the oath of party membership. Then, following the progress of the opening session, all stood up to sing the national anthem and observe a moment of silence for the late proletarian revolutionists and revolutionary martyrs. The atmosphere of the opening session infected all the people present, and everyone waved the party flag to express their excitement.
