At 2:30pm on September 22, the Party Committee of the School held a centralized discussion for the reading class of the Theoretical Learning Central Group in Conference Room 1209 of the School. All members of the leadership team and members of the Party Committee of the School attended the study, which was hosted by Guo Xiurong, Secretary of the Party Committee.
Guo Xiurong introduced the background of this meeting. Affected by the epidemic, the planned August collective discussion of the reading class was postponed in this meeting.
According to the requirements of the “Notice on Holding the 2022 Reading Class for the Theoretical Learning Central Group of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication”, the members of the theoretical learning central group of the Party Committee has thoroughly studied the "Four Histories", the important statement of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education and other key contents, and fully exchanged and discussed at this meeting.
All members of the leadership team carefully studied the “Master Planning for the Reform and Development during the “14th Five-Year Plan”” of the University and the “14th Five-Year Development Plan” of the School, and reported the construction situation and expected results in their respective fields one by one at the meeting against the "14th Five-Year Plan Breakdown Indicators of the School of Arts and Communication". The members of the leadership team discussed and approved item by item.
The comrades present at the meeting said that it was indispensable to implement the broken down indicators of the 14th Five-Year Plan and work together to build and develop the School, and would play the role of party members and cadres, make a good work plan against the broken down indicators to ensure the effective implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan of the School. Secretary Guo concluded that members of the leadership team should further consolidate and deepen the results of Party history study and education and “our histories” publicity and education, promote the in-depth implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan", improve the theoretical level and working ability of the members of the leadership team of the School, make efforts to enhance political and theoretical literacy and the level of school governance, promote Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era to take root in the School, and promote the high-quality development of the School’s undertakings. After the meeting, Secretary Guo Xiurong distributed “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” (Volume 4) and encouraged the members of the theoretical learning central group of the Party Committee to continue to consolidate their learning achievements.
