Looking for the Cultural and Creative Trendsetters at the Foot of Nanwangshan Mountain by the East Lake – “Creative Partner” Design Competition Enters the Campus of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan)

Grasp the aesthetic trend and inspire unlimited creativity. The “Creative Partner” design competition jointly held by Wuhan Broadcasting and Television Station, China Resources Snow BREWERY (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and other universities is in full swing.

For the purpose of broadening the competition channels and exploring the cultural and creative talents in universities, on September 16, the offline activity of "Creative Partner" crossed the East Lake and entered the School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) at the foot of Nanwangshan Mountain for offline campus promotion.

 

This competition is held based on the cooperation among universities, media and enterprise. A positive energy transmission mode is established within the framework of the "Creative Partner" design competition to encourage and organize college students and media people to plan and implement corporate cultural and creative projects, complete product creative design through the perspective of young designers, and finally realize the integrity and innovation of socialist literature and art by college students in the new era. In this regard, Guo Xiurong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), said that the School insisted on the leadership of the Party building, combined with the school-running characteristics of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and the disciplinary advantages of the School, focused on building the excellent academic style and releasing the creative energy of students, so as to transform the scientific and technological advantages of the University and the School into the ability to serve the society.

 

One of the important purposes of the competition is to cultivate and improve the aesthetic ability of the public. “The School of Arts and Communication” insists on educating people with beauty and influencing people with culture, relies on the characteristic resources and advantageous platform of CUG, and takes the profession as a shield, to strive to improve students' aesthetic cultivation. This school-enterprise cooperation also provides new aesthetic education resources for the students”, said Yuan Yue, deputy dean in charge of aesthetic education in the School of Arts and Communication.

 

Yang Zhe, deputy dean of the School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), said, “The School attaches great importance to the deep integration of art, media and high-tech, and strives to take a school-running path of cross-integration and distinctive development of disciplines. In the cultivation of talents, the School insists on being student-oriented and focuses on stimulating students’ creative potential and cultivating their innovative thinking. As a result, a number of competition winners and student innovation and entrepreneurship teams have emerged in recent years.”

 

“Creative Partner” is to explore, cultivate and incubate potential student groups, and help college students refine their skills in the “real world” and gain experience in the “partnership” by entering campus. In the “Gravity” cultural and creative studio of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), Liu Ziyi, a graduate student of Grade 2022 in visual communication design, recommended the "Creative Partner" design competition. She said: It serves two ends by bringing the professional qualities of student entrepreneurial teams into commercial use. “This competition provides us with a high-quality platform to practice our professional skills and gives us a broader space to show what we have learned in the classroom”, said Chen Ruhui, a graduate student of Grade 2020 in visual communication design of the School of Arts and Communication, with delight while showing the sketches of her work to be completed.

 

 

It is understood that the competition will close for registration on September 28, and the Creative Partner” offline activities will also be carried out in the College of Art and Design of Wuhan Textile University, School of Public Arts of Wuhan Institute of Design and Sciences and other universities and colleges.
