In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and welcome the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication intends to organize the 6th Party Building Culture Festival of the School with the theme of “Beautiful China, Habitable Planet”, and hereby carries out the works collection activities.
I. Activity Theme
“Beautiful China, Habitable Planet”
The theme exhibition is divided into five sections: painting (design, hand-painting), photography, calligraphy, cultural and creative design works, and performance (video presentation). The works should promote positive energy, reflect the professional standards of the School of Arts and Communication, presents various artistic techniques.
II. Scope of the Call
All teachers, students and alumni of the School of Arts and Communication
It is suggested that teachers collect excellent and selected outstanding works through course teaching, final course design, and graduation works to prepare for the exhibition in the second half of the year.
III. Requirements
1. No limitation on the form. Painting (design, hand-painting), photography and calligraphy works must provide original works available for on-site display. Painting submissions must be marked with the title and creative description of the work.
2. Photographs should be story-based, 100 words or less, including time, place, highlights of events or contextual significance.
3. For the collection of cultural and creative design works, please refer to the notice of “Inheriting Campus Genes and Telling the Story of China University of Geosciences” Cultural and Creative Design Competition https://sac.cug.edu.cn/info/1002/6075.htm.
4. Video of the performance program must be provided for the performance works.
5. When submitting the work, please mark the name and contact information of the author for inquiry. When submitting the work, please attach the “Registration Form”, fill in the content details carefully with reference to the attachment, and limit the word count of the creative description part to 100 words or less.

5. Except for performances and photographic videos, all works must be submitted both in electronic form and in paper form (Note: hand-drawn works are scanned into electronic copies and printed on A4 paper; computer-generated ones are printed directly). The electronic manuscript works should be in jpg format, with a resolution of not less than 300dpi. The size of painting works must be standard 8vo and quarto, and the size of design works is A4. Calligraphy works must be on special paper for calligraphy. The performance works will be exhibited in the form of a small video recording, and will be presented on site in the later evening. The video work is in mp4 or avi format, 1080P, and the size must not be larger than 600MB.
6. For all selected works, the organizer has the right to use them in its relevant publicity, publication, exhibition, cultural exchange, promotion and other public welfare activities, without further payment.
7. Contributors should have independent and complete copyright of their works; contributors should also ensure that their works do not infringe on the rights of third parties, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc. The contributor shall bear all legal responsibilities in case of any disputes caused by the breach of the above commitments.
8. Works and behaviors that are harmful to public order and morals (including but not limited to all violations of law, morality, public order or good customs that may seriously mislead the public and have the nature of fraud) will be immediately disqualified and dealt with in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university.
9. The selected outstanding works will be exhibited in the Integrated Teaching Building of the East District and the Yifu Museum of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and will be promoted through various means such as websites, official account and paper media.
10. All authors who participate in this call for works are deemed to agree and abide by all of the above provisions.

Electronic versions of the works and the “Registration Form” should be stored in *.rar or *.zip format and sent to 945008992@qq.com.
Physical works can be submitted in September to Room 1206 Student Affairs Leading Group of the School of Arts and Communication or delivered by mail.
