Series Report on Summer Practice in 2022 – 5th Practice Day of the Students in Grade 2020 Majoring in Music in Enshi, Lichun and Badong

July 7, 2022

On July 4, we received a call from 30℃ north latitude to go on a date with green mountains and green waters.

At 8:30 in the morning, we started from the practice base and went to Shennong Stream. The summer here is just right, with fine sunshine and cool breeze. At 9:00 we took a boat deep into the Shennong Stream. The 800-mile QingJiang River flows along the stretching mountains. The flying birds were singing in the green mountains and water. The delicate green leaves and grass turned the mountain gate into a charming array of tenderness. The waterfall under the sheer wall celebrated the legend of nature with the sound of water. Here, we had a full view of the magnificent Three Gorges and the scenery of Badong County.

After experiencing the charm of the magnificent landscape, we got off the boat and continued to go deeper into Shennong Stream to experience the boat tracker culture. The most affectionate Ba people are working on this selenium-rich water and soil. The boat trackers struggled to pull the boats along the bank, the sun shining on their dark skin, drops of sweat from their cheeks. The boatman sang folk songs in the bow of the boat, and the students also responded with enthusiasm and energy.

With fireworks around, nature in front of us, and teachers and students wandering in the magical landscape of Shennong Stream, this is the overflow of beauty on earth!

After lunch, we went to the Badong Field Comprehensive Experimental Filed of the Three Gorges Research Center for Geohazards, Ministry of Education.

The Badong National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station for Geological Hazards is based in the Badong Three Gorges Reservoir Area. The station was approved and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and constructed and operated by CUG. I am also sincerely proud of being a student of CUG. The Three Gorges Center arranged professional teachers for us to conduct science education in the field test site cave. We have learned that the test site is opened for the entire Three Gorges reservoir area and carries out geological disaster observation and research under the operating conditions of the reservoir. The purpose is to build a scientific and standardized platform for geological disaster field observation and scientific data aggregation, research and open sharing, and to break through the theoretical and technical bottleneck of reservoir geological disaster prediction, early warning and prevention and control. The teacher also explained to us the geological disasters in the Three Gorges area, the general situation of geological disasters in Badong urban area, and the construction process of Badong test site. Going deep into the cave, the teacher explained a lot of professional geological knowledge to us, which broadened our knowledge. Ms. Yu Lei said that we should have interdisciplinary exchanges, and the students were also deeply interested in novel knowledge fields.

At 5:00 p.m., with the sunset, the tight schedule of the day came to an end with the sunset. The students returned to the base, had dinner and then moved around on their own. On the way back to the dormitory, the evening breeze brushed my cheeks, and my eyes were full of the rolling Yangtze River and the small Badong city. Living here, life fulfilled our desire to live in a paradise. I said good night to my beloved world, sun, moon and stars, mountains and rivers. I just wish time could slow down a little bit, a little bit more!
