Series Report on Summer Practice in 2022 – 6th Practice Day of the Students in Grade 2020 Majoring in Music in Enshi, Lichun and Badong

July 7, 2022

On July 5, we had the last day of the summer practice.

At 8:20 in the morning, with the dazzling sunlight, we held a flag-raising ceremony in the playground of Badong Science and Education Base of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). We are honored to be the first batch of students from CUG to come to Badung Practice Station. The national flag was slowly raised and the students sang the national anthem and saluted. Through this flag raising ceremony, we feel that as young students in the new era, we should cherish our family and country and strive to be the inheritor and promoter of China's excellent culture!

At nine o'clock, we set off for Wuxiakou scenic spot. We took the cable car and crossed the mountains to the observation deck. The cool breeze, the sea of clouds, the rolling peaks and the winding water of the Yangtze River made all of us gasp in awe.

Ten minutes later, we continued to move forward, walked through the hundred step ladder, Wuxia cloud top, and came to the glass walkway. Walking on the glass walkway was a frightening step, but you could enjoy the beauty of Badong's landscape at your feet. This is also the location where the reverse view of the old version of the RMB 5 was taken. We were all very excited, reached the highest place to take photos and were impressed by the uncanny workmanship of nature.

At 12:00 noon, we finished meals at the base, then packed bags, and prepared to leave. At 2:30, the base staff lined up at the gate to see us off. Although we spent only two days at the base, we could feel that the teachers and staffs were very attentive to our life, accommodation and food, and they did their best to pay attention to every little detail. The hostesses carefully distributed bedding to everyone. Students casually mentioned that they wanted to eat soy-braised pork and shredded pork with green pepper, and the next day they could see these delicious dishes in the restaurant. After dinner, we played on the court, and the uncle on duty thoughtfully turned on the court lights to facilitate our exercise. After the exercise, we wanted to eat watermelon. Even after work, the canteen uncle rushed to provide knives and plates for us to cut. The aunt at the shop also delayed her shift to provide chilled mineral water for us. Knowing that we were going to the field test site, the warehouse teacher came early in the morning to distribute safety helmets and reflective vests. Everything made us feel home-like warmth. Today, they saw us off at the station entrance, which made us reluctant to leave!

The six-day practice came to a successful end! With joy and reluctance, we set off on our way home! Taking the newly opened Zhengzhou-Wanzhou high-speed railway to experience the speed of China in the new era, it drew a complete end to our journey!
