Promoting the Spirit of Labor and Striving to be the Pioneer of the Times | Twinning Labor Education Activities between the Party Branch Directly under the School of Arts and Communication and Class 161202

(Reported by Shan Tianyi) The Party branch directly under the School of Arts and Communication actively responded to the call of General Secretary Xi Jinping to "carry out extensive labor education". In accordance with the spirit of the “Mobilization meeting of grassroots practical activities to understand people's feelings, solve people's problems and warm people's hearts” of the University on May 30, the Party Committee of the School played a leading role, made overall arrangements, carefully organized and implemented, and innovated the way to carry out activities. On the morning of June 17, the School carried out a pairing and piloting activity with the theme of labor education in the building of the School. The activity was supported by the Logistics Support Office, which provided labor tools. Guo Xiurong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Bian Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, all members of the Party Branch directly under the School, all students of Class 161202 and volunteers of the Volunteer Association attended the activity.

After the preliminary division of labor and grouping, everyone took different labor tools and started cleaning the Building in their assigned areas. Some raked the fallen leaves out of the grass, some swept the pavilion in front of the door of the building with a broom, and some sweep the art exhibition hall. Although the weather was hot, the students and teachers worked together and participated with great energy and enthusiasm, were not afraid to get dirty, and cleaned the Building with a new look.

Through this twinning activity, the participating teachers and students feel that labor is the most glorious, only labor can create a better life, love labor, use labor to create a good learning and living environment for teachers and students, reflect their own value in labor, show their personal style, and let labor become a source of power to create a better future for the people.

Under the leadership of the Party Committee of the School, the Party members of the Party branch directly under the School actively participated in this labor practice activity, went deep into the grass-roots level, reality and the masses, and took concrete actions to welcome the smooth convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 70th anniversary of the University.
