Showing “She Power” for A New Chapter of Aesthetic Education – Peng Jing’s Works were Exhibited at the First Biennial Exhibition of Art Works of Young Female Painters in Colleges and Universities of Hubei Province

Recently, it was learned that on May 8, “She Power - the First Biennial Exhibition of Art Works of Young Women Painters in Colleges and Universities of Hubei Province” opened in Zhuo Er Art Gallery. The exhibition is guided by Hubei Artists Association, sponsored by Hubei Chinese Painting Society and Hubei Gongbi Painting Society, co-organized by Hubei Painting and Calligraphy Institute, Hubei Pictorial and Hubei Academy of Space Art Research Institute, and undertaken by Art Hubei and China Art Appreciation Network. This exhibition features more than 80 works by 18 female artists from universities and professional art institutions in Hubei. Five works of Ms. Peng Jing of our School were exhibited in this exhibition.

Peng Jing is now an associate professor and doctoral supervisor of our school. Her art works have been collected by many consulates and professional institutions. Her works combine the delicate and gentle characteristics of women, absorb nutrients from the reality of nature, society and life, take the traditional ink and brush as the medium, and on the basis of inheriting tradition, use the rhythm of lines and the detail of ink and wash to highlight the vivid form and the delicate colors, forming her own unique artistic style.
