School of Arts and Communication Signs a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Propaganda Department of the CPC Yuncheng Committee

(Reported by Huang Tianyou and Bian Jianhua) At 9:30 am on December 21, 2021, in Conference Room 1209 of the School of Arts and Communication, a symposium was held between this School and the Propaganda Department of the CPC Yuncheng Committee, and a strategic cooperation agreement between local government and the University was signed. The main leaders attending this symposium were Duan Limin, a second-level researcher of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Yuncheng Committee, Guo Xiurong, secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication, Zhang Meizhen, Yang Zhe, Peng Jing and Yuan Yue, deputy deans of the School, and Wu Renxi, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of CUG. The symposium was presided over by Bian Jianhua, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Arts and Communication.

Duan Limin introduced the basic situation of Yuncheng City from several aspects, such as scenic spots, humanistic landscape, ecological protection, transportation development and talent cultivation, and the accompanying staff mainly introduced the characteristic landscapes such as Yongle Palace, Guandi Temple and Longmen. The two sides made in-depth communication and exchange around the construction and improvement of scenic spots, the innovative development of the Yellow River culture, the excavation and promotion of regional culture, research and training for teachers and students, employment and entrepreneurship of students, etc.

Duan Limin said that the cooperation between the local government and university will give full play to the advantages of rich cultural tourism resources of Yuncheng and give new impetus to further promote the development and utilization of the red education and national education resources in Yuncheng. Yuncheng will cherish this cooperation and friendship and carry out multi-disciplinary and multi-level communication and cooperation in accordance with the principle of "equality and mutual benefit, sincere cooperation, complementary advantages and common development", relying on the creativity, talent and information resources of the School. Yuncheng City has profound historical and cultural heritage and rich natural and humanistic landscapes, so it has rich deposits in design, propaganda and cultural creation, and is eagerly looking forward to the team of experts, scholars, teachers and students from the School of Arts and Communication to explore and create.

Guo Xiurong, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, said that Yuncheng has rich cultural and historical tourism resources, and the signing of this cooperation agreement provides rich soil for teachers and students to better carry out study and practical training as well as student employment and entrepreneurship, and the School will take this cooperation as an opportunity to do a good job in cultural communication and cultural education, so that teachers and student teams can gain insight, cultivate talents and build character in practice. The School of Arts and Communication of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) will adhere to the opening school-running concept to let more teachers and students go to Yuncheng, understand Yuncheng, use its excellent traditional culture to provide more inspiration for their innovation and creation, and lay a more solid foundation for students to establish cultural confidence.
