On November 7, 2022, China University of Geosciences will celebrate its 70th anniversary. In order to welcome the 70th anniversary of the University, create a strong celebration atmosphere, and promote the internalization of the spirit of “Beautiful China and Livable Earth: Towards 2030 - Strategic Plan for the Construction of Internationally Renowned Research University in the Field of Geosciences”, it is intended to create and perform songs around the 70th anniversary of the university, the lunar exploration project, the spirit of the southern migration of CUG, the spirit of scientists, the mountaineering spirit, and rural revitalization. The lyrics are now openly called for from both inside and outside the university.

Content Requirements
1. Clear theme and accurate expression. The lyrics should highlight the CUG culture and spiritual elements, such as the 70th anniversary of the university, the lunar exploration project, the spirit of the southern migration of CUG,, the spirit of scientists, the mountaineering spirit, rural revitalization and so on, reflect the school motto, school running concept, development process, humanistic spirit and school running achievements, highlight the characteristics of the school and have rich connotation.
2. The lyrics should be positive, concise, moderate in length and easy to sing.
3. The works shall not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of third parties. Otherwise, the organizer will cancel the qualification to participate in the evaluation, and all responsibilities arising therefrom shall be borne by the work provider. The organizer has the non-commercial permanent right to use the shortlisted works, and the selected authors have the right of authorship and sign the copyright agreement.
4. This activity is oriented to both inside and outside of the University. Matters not covered shall be finally explained by the organizer
Submission Method
1. The activity adopts the online submission method. The title of the submitted works and relevant documents should be “Collection of THEME Songs for the 70th Anniversary of China University of Geosciences /author's name/contact information.
2. The author’s real name, contact number, contact address, e-mail and other information shall be indicated.
3. For works created by multiple people, one person shall be designated as the contact person.

Selection and Awards
1. In the middle of November, the School will organize experts to conduct preliminary evaluation on the candidate works and produce the shortlisted works. For the shortlisted works, the opinions of teachers, students, employees and relevant persons shall be solicited publicly, and the winning works will be determined after review by experts, with one first prize, three second prizes and several excellence awards.
2. All shortlisted authors (or teams) will receive honorary certificates and souvenirs. The following cash awards will be given to the winning works: RMB 2000/item (before tax, the same below) for the first prize, RMB 1000/item for the second prize, and RMB 200/item for the excellence prize.
