School of Arts and Communication Holds an Arrangement Meeting on Epidemic Prevention and Control, and Education and Teaching for Autumn Semester

(Correspondent: Feng Yan) At 3: 00 p.m. on September 2, our school held an on-line arrangement meeting on epidemic prevention and control, education and teaching for the autumn semester opening, to arrange all the work for the opening. The meeting was presided over by Comrade Guo Xiurong, secretary of the Party Committee. A total of 81 persons, including the members of the school leadership, and faculty members directly under the school and of the departments and experimental teaching centers, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Secretary Guo Xiurong conveyed and studied the spirit of the epidemic prevention and control meeting of the University. She stressed that it was necessary to strictly follow the requirements of the overall epidemic prevention and control plan do the University, keep a close eye on key links, and ensure that the school epidemic prevention and control, the freshmen registration, the education and teaching preparation would be implemented well and in place. Gui Yuhui, dean of the school, conveyed the spirit of the university’s work arrangement meeting in the new semester, introduced the general development goal of the of the school during the 14th Five-Year Plan, and made arrangements for the discipline development and double first-class construction. Yang Zhe and Peng Jing, deputy deans of the School, and Bian Jianhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, respectively made arrangements for undergraduate education and teaching, postgraduate training and education, student employment, returning to school and welcoming new students. Finally, Secretary Guo Xiurong requested that we should improve our ideological understanding and make epidemic prevention and control a top priority. We should stick to the bottom line thinking and keep the position of epidemic prevention and control in the school; we should strengthen supervision and inspection, do all the work for school opening, and ensure that all the work of the school was carried out smoothly and orderly.
