Reliving the Glorious History of the Party and Absorbing the Strength to Forge Ahead - Teachers and Students of School of Arts and Communication Watch Movies for Party History Study and Education

At 3:30 pm on June 3, more than 40 teachers and students party members, wearing masks, arrived at the cinema on time to watch the film “Cliff Walkers”, reviewing the glorious history of the Party, and once again truly felt the heroic wit and firm ideals and beliefs of our ancestors.

Yang Qing, deputy director of the Department of Music, said that as a party member born after the reform and opening-up, and as a front-line teacher, we should not forget the spirit of our ancestors, keep in mind our ideals and beliefs, shoulder the responsibility of the times, and constantly develop and innovate, so as to carry forward the fine traditions and political advantages of the Party in the new era.

After watching the film, Feng Yan, director of the school office, expressed his feelings that the underground workers of the Communist Party of China in that era lived in anonymity, abandoned their families and worked silently. For the sake of their ideals and beliefs and for the China’s hardworking masses, they danced on the tip of the enemy’s knife and fought with the enemy to the death on the cliff. Many unknown heroes fell in the darkness before dawn. Without their contributions and sacrifice, how could we be safe in this world? We should always remember the revolutionary martyrs, inherit their legacy, work hard and forge ahead.

After watching the film, Wu Bingqian, the monitor of class 161202, majoring in radio and television, said with emotion: “Only those who stand on the cliff without cowardice are determined people, who inspire me not to forget my original heart and keep my mission in mind until dawn.” He also said that as the successor of the new era, we should closely follow the great Communist Party of China, keep up with the great ancestors, and contribute our own strength to realize the great rejuvenation dream of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the Party.
