Party Committee Held Assessment Meeting for Duty Performance of Party Branches on Party Construction in 2020

(Reported by Zhang Wenjing and Zeng Gehui) In the afternoon of Mar. 11, 2021, the Party Committee held the assessment meeting for duty performance report of the Party branches on Party construction in 2020 in No. 1209 Meeting Room, Arts and Communication Building.The members of the Party Committee,the members ofthe leadership ranks,the members ofthe Party branches, Party member representatives andthe representatives of thedemocratic parties attended the meeting presided by Guo Xiurong, the secretary of the Party Committee.

Comrade Shang Yuanyuan, the secretary of the Party Branch of Department of Journalism and Communication firstly madethe duty performance report.She introduced the Party building ofthe Party Branch in 2020 from four aspects including epidemic prevention and control, online and offline theme-focused education ofthe Party Branch, personal work and learning, shortage and thoughts in the future and expressedthe determination and plan for carrying outthe original aspiration and undertakingthe responsibility. The Secretary of Party Committee Guo Xiurong made a comment about the report.

Comrade Liu Jun, the secretary ofthe Party Branch of Department of Visual and Media Design reportedthe routine work inthe whole year from three aspects including Party building andideological and political work, epidemic-related work, and Red Theme-focused education,morality education and grassroots building.In addition, he also made apostmortem according to the requirements ofthe Party Committee of CUG, pointed out the problems in the Party Building and proposed the working ideas for resolvingthe problems and overcoming the difficulties inthe future. The Secretary of Party Committee Guo Xiurong made a comment about the report.

Next, Comrade Li Daibin,the secretary ofthe Party Branch of Department of Design explainedthe core ofthe Party building in his report and said that teaching and scientific research would bethe final foothold and make every effort to bring into play the aestheticeducation.He introducedthe main work ofthe grassroots Party building in 2020 from 7 aspect and made a detailed report onthe key problems andthe next working plan. Zeng Jianyou, a member of the Party Committee, made a comment aboutthe report.

Comrade Zhou Li, the secretary of Party Branch of Department of Musicology proposed to implement“seven powerful measures” in report and said thatthe standardized building ofthe Party branch should be regarded as an effective means to improvethe quality ofthe Party building.She also said thatthe Party branch would carry outthe characteristic activities and bring into play the brand effect; and implement the arrangement of thehigher authorities and establishthe three-in-one learning and education system. Dean Gui Yuhui made a comment aboutthe report.

Comrade Li Weina,the secretary of the Party branch directly under this School made a report from four aspects includingthe basic situation ofthe Party branch, Party building, existing problems and the next working plan.She introducedthe Party building based on“seven powerful measures” and pointed out that it was necessary to educatethe Party members to consolidatethe foundation and strengthenthe source; managethe Party members in a scientific andstandardized manner; supervisethe Party members to increasethe cohesion; organize both teachers and students in acollaborative and effective manner;publicize both teachers and students in a typical and precise manner; hold both teachers and students firmly together; serve both teachers and students.Afterthe report, Deputy Dean Yuan Yue made a comment aboutthe report.

Finally, Secretary Guo Xiurong summarizedthe assessment for duty performance and putforward some suggestions forthe future work of each Party branches: firstly, we should persist in the commanding ofthe Party building, bring into full playthe pioneering and leading role ofthe Party cadres, pay attention to the combination ofthe Party building and thedetailed affairs and integrate the Party building into the detailed affairs; secondly, we should make progress inthe introduction ofthe excellent youth and lay the foundation ofthe development of all undertakings; thirdly,the secretaries ofthe Party branches should act as the dual pace setters and play a leading role in Party building and the detailed affairs and serve asthe models inimpart knowledge and educate the students.

Finally,the meeting selected two excellent Party branches namely the Party branch directly under this School and the one of Department of Musicology in form ofsecret ballot.
