(Reported by Chen Peng and Wang Xuerong) Recently, CUG announced the results of 12th Teaching Competition for Young Teachers and Li Jing, a young teacher in this School won the grand prize. On the afternoon of April 8, Humanities and Social Sciences Group of 12th Teaching Competition for Young Teachers was held in Room A203 of New Comprehensive Building. The fierce competition lasted about four hours, with high lights wonderful. Finally, Li Jing, a young teacher in Department of Journalism and Communication stood out among 9 contestants in Humanities and Social Sciences Group finally won the first place in the competition, which was a second honor after Ding Jie, a teacher in this School, won the championship in 11th Teaching Competition for Young Teachers.
Since the launch of the teaching competition for young teachers this year, this School had attached great importance to it. In view of the features including numerous young teachers, the complicated disciplines and the particularities of teaching in arts, this School concentrated its superior resources and strength by organizing teaching demonstration, selection and exchange activities, further improved the teaching level, professional quality and teaching ability of the young teachers. In particular, it built up the teaching team led by the professors, accelerated the development of curriculum groups and teaching activities in a planned and step-by-step manner and made good achievements.
The outstanding achievements reflects the hard work of the young teachers, the selfless dedication of the old teachers and the emphasis on talent cultivation and improvement of teaching quality of this School. It is believed that the competition will stimulate more young teachers' teaching enthusiasm and potential, and more outstanding young backbone teachers will emerge.
