The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team of Our School Made Outstanding Achievements in 2019 “China Internet Development Innovation and Investment Competition”

At 9:00 a.m. on December 20, 2019, the launching ceremony of “The First China Internet Development Innovation and Investment Competition” and “Wuhan Network Security Industry Development Innovation and Investment Competition” jointly sponsored by China Internet Development Foundation, China Internet Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., Network Information Office of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Management Committee of Wuhan Airport Economic and Technological Development Zone was held in the National Network Security Talent and Innovation Base Exhibition Center in Dongxihu District, Wuhan City. After layers of selection, a total of 10 award-winning enterprises were selected. Cifang Intelligent Environment Design Engineering Co., Ltd., headed by Dr. Dai Qifan of our School, won the Excellence Award. Leaders and experts from China Internet and network security industry presented awards to enterprises and took group photos.

It is understood that the National Network Security Talent and Innovation Base was settled in Wuhan in September 2016. Since then Wuhan has undertaken the major historical mission of building the first and only “network security college + innovation industry Valley” base in China, focusing on cultivating and introducing network security talents, giving priority to the development of network security industry, and vigorously supporting network security industry innovation projects and start-ups.

Leaders of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, China Internet Development Foundation and representatives of domestic well-known venture capital institutions and key network security enterprises were also invited to participate in the event. The even aimed to help the National Network Security Talent and Innovation Base build into a “depression” gathering “high-grade” talents and technologies in the field of national network security.

 This event not only provided the innovation and entrepreneurship team of our School with the opportunity to communicate and cooperate with government leaders, domestic well-known venture capital institutions and well-known Internet enterprises, but also stimulated the innovation vitality of the team as well as the teachers and students in the Internet industry, and drove the innovation and entrepreneurship atmosphere of the whole University.
