The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team of Our School Made Great Achievements in the “Second University City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition”

(Correspondent: Chen Xiliang) In order to further implement the innovation-driven development strategy and accelerate the construction of “University City”, the award ceremony and project signing ceremony of the Second “CHUANG YOUNG” University City Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, sponsored by Hongshan Bureau of Science, Technology and Economic Information and guided by the Party committee of Hongshan District and the People’s Government of Hongshan City, were held on December 11. A total of 36 award-winning projects were selected in the competition. Under the joint guidance of Professor Zhao Bing, doctoral supervisor, Wu Renxi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor Rao Jianhua, Deputy Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering and Electronic Information, Dr. Yu Zhiguang, industry expert and founder of ZHONG CHUANG HUAN YA, and Zhao Zhonggui, co-founder of Zephyr and registered architect of New York State, the “One Stop Interactive Entertainment Platform for Commercial Real Estate Space (CF 3.0) led by Dr. Dai Qifan of our School won the Best Creative Award and 20,000 Yuan government award fund.

Hongshan University City promoted and drove the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries by innovation, and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of our School undertook the second round of the competition. In the publicity of this competition, Yan Jia, director of the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Department of our School, also said: “what standard, how to cultivate and how to really implement the requirements are the historical propositions that every higher educator must answer. The university is accelerating the physical operation of Changjiang National Maker School, and exploring the maker culture created by innovation and entrepreneurship and the new way to serve the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship talents relying on the location advantage of Hongshan University City.

Zhifang team led by Dr. Dai Qifan of our School actively participated in the competition, striving to build the development highland of central China and create a high-level science and technology innovation center. In the special session of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) of 2019 Scientific and Technological Achievements Docking Activity of Hongshan District, Vice President Wang Hua attended and witnessed the signing of the relevant scientific and technological achievements transformation project with our University. So far, it has developed five joint projects with the University, and has obtained 11 national patents and 6 software copyrights. Now it is the Wuhan science and technology “little giant” enterprise and small and medium-sized enterprise of science and technology in Hubei Province. As a company engaged in the interactive experience design of urban public space, Zhifang has won the national high-tech enterprise license and 400,000 government awards among the design enterprises.

In addition, as the person in charge of the innovation and entrepreneurship sub-base of the School, he also assisted teachers and students in applying for and mining patents, increasing the number of patent applications by 500%, and won the honor of “Unit Progress Award” of our University.

The School gathers all kinds of factors conducive to the transformation of achievements and persistently promotes the incubation and cultivation of high-tech industries. In order to create the most innovative highland of science and innovation, our teachers and students are grasping the innovation advantages of the University City, constantly enhancing their strength and competitiveness, and promoting the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship.
